Just got back in from a quick lunch break fishing session and found a few more species in this pond! As usual the handful of gills, sunnies, and pumpkin seeds were biting, but I managed to reel in a little large mouth bass and a perch

I love trying out new lakes and ponds in the metro . This little lake is located in Eagan and has a park called "Moonshine Park" attached to it. The DNR survey goes back to 2014 and lists a sample of black bullhead, black crappie, bluegill, golden shiner, green sunfish. hybrid sunfish, and large mouth bass in very low quantity and small size. The water is very shallow with a maximum depth of 15 feet.
While fishing I was using the drop shot method and various micro cranks for panfish. I was able to pull out a handful of very small bluegills during my lunch session yesterday. I may be exploring this little lake a bit more since my office is now located next to it .
