Hey Catchn'! It's been a whole year and you haven't heard from anyone. As you can tell, this Waconia thread has a great community... not. There aren't any dangerous areas to look out for in the way of rocks or underwater obstructions that I noticed when I fished the lake last year. Generally a good bass lake with ample walleye and muskie. Lots of great structure in hte way of bars, reefs, drops. Plenty of cover, too. Huge weed beds, reeds, boat docks, and such. The bass seem to be very healthy. You can pretty much catch them any way you want, but the locals have their favorites. We did well with drop shot, skirted jigs, flukes, texas rigged plastics, and skipping baits under docks.

I haven't ever fished Waconia, so I'm looking for some basic advice in lake navigation and bass fishing. The map looks relatively shallow. Are there any dangerous unmarked underwater obstructions to be aware of? How is the bass fishing generally? I'll be on the lake the week of July 11th. Any advice would be appreciated!
