I wouldn’t waste your time on this lake for awhile, DNR just sprayed the weeds today. Waters real stained and the fish wouldn’t bite anything. Love fishing this lake so I will be back when the pesticide clears. Hopefully the waters clears up a little bit, was real green.

I just started venturing up to the Chisago area this year to try and fish around there. I'd like to try fishing more of them but I don't know where to start, I've heard some good things though. Only ones I've tried up in that area so far are South Lindstrom and Chisago which I thought were real good but I've not seen it yet. I do like the lakes in that area quite a bit though and plan on fishing them thru the rest of the open water season and into ice fishing.

I've been scouring this lake for fish and its been a tough bite. Fished on Saturday and only ended the day with a nice northern, a good sized crappie and a small walleye. All fish came from the point on the northeast end right on the weed edge in about 12 FOW. I've been marking fish in deeper water but they're not interested in suckers or fatheads. Tried trolling a bit as well with crankbaits and its been all for naught. Not sure if any of the other guys out there have been having much luck but its been tough. I've been searching for those quality walleyes I always hear about out there but I think they're almost non existant. Most other guys on the lake are moving around alot too so I can't imagine they are having any more luck. I see baitfish move around out at the center bar but I never pick anything up out there. Probably going to keep trying it hoping to get lucky and find a consistent spot but its been tough going.

Been catching small walleyes in less than 10FOW off the southwest bar but nothing over 12." All the fish I've caught have been on jigs tipped with fatheads. Not sure where the larger fish are at but I've tried deeper and the only bites I get are up shallow. Tried trolling crankbaits and such as well but no luck. Hoping the cooler temps of the fall bring on some larger fish but its been touch and go so far.

Well we had a nice he-man outing with the bro, grandson and self. We caught unknown quantity of bluegills using slip bobbers with crawlers, gulp waxes and gulp spikes. Hey it was fun watch the kid bring in the gills. He could have had more boated but just wasn't able to sit still and hold the pole. A side effect with those expensive rod holders (Kids like to use).

After some time bringing in the gills we switched to casting surface baits for bass in the weeds and pads. Managed 3 surface breaks at the lures. Next tried swim baits. Caught a nice bucket mouth which eat the bait. The only part of the bait seen outside the mouth was the snap swivel.

As for the HE-MAN part; the grandson has yet to learn about girls.

Caught one nice northern around the center bar just outside the weed edge. This lake has alot of really good sized northern. Haven't cracked techniques for any of the other species but we'll keep at it.

I'm sold that this is a good lake but it sure isn't any easier to fish. Started in the northeast corner searching for walleyes around 6 30 and caught nothing but a few northern on minnows on the shallow weedline. Tried dragging lindy's, trolling, and jigging with fatheads but no walleyes. I know I can catch northerns and the occasional musky but walleyes are a tough bet in this lake. Anybody else share my frustration?

Started fishing around the southeast corner of the lake. Winds coming out of the south at about 20 mph so I tried to stay out of them. Caught a nice northern right away in about 10 fow with a bright colored spinner bait. Kept throwing that until I wondered upon this nice musky. Overall it was a pretty good day on the water. Most of the fish were coming out of the deeper weeds. Tried trolling for walleyes a bit but no luck. They are a tough bite in this lake.

Well wrapped up the holiday weekend on the lake in the rain. Live bait got several strikes but no real takers. Figured it was small panfish. The best evidence of that possibility was the baby perch I took with a walleye minnow.

After the major rain fall; we switched to artificial worms and the weed edges. Did manage a few largemouth. The interesting part about the experience was that the fish were on the non-wind side of the lake (active wise).
