We fished the last week/first week of July/August. We had two days where out weekly limit of walleye was caught in 2-3 hours. We took a boat to Lake Windigo and caught 50 plus+ bluegill in four hours...many in the 1 pound range and some pushing 1 1/2 pounds! They were to big to hold with one hand. Fought like a 8 pound norther or 3 pound smallie. We caught some perch and crappie, but not as well as usual. And of course we had our Muskie moment. I landed a 47 inch fish, going just over 30 pounds. Picked in up and a gold blade lil jo with a 1 1/2 inch minnow. Cass Lake is as good as I have eber seen in. Caught most nice walleye trolling Berkley Flicker shad in the perch, fire tiger or purple colors trolling in 10-15 feet of water, maybe shallower. The storms reallt tore up the southeastern corner of the lake and the east shore of Pike Bay.

Coming up on the 27th, would love to see some reports. Water temp? Hot fishing trends? Leeches, crawlers? Rigs, jigs or slip-bobbers?

Lake hot spots?

We are walleye first, I am hopeful of a Musky this year Smile

What is the latest after all those storms? Were any Resorts damaged?

Power still out?

I will be up in late July, we were up 2-3 years ago at that time and froze to death. Man we caught fish. I want to do more deep water fishing; slip bobbers, jigs and trolling. Can't wait! Keep the posts coming!

Depth? not looking for somebody to put an "X" on a map but any pointers regarding the cass chain would be appriciated! Thanks

Butch: can you give any pointers on the gills. General info is fine. I.E. weed edges 5 ft. on worms etc. Taking my family up to boy lake week of 7-16. I have a feeling I need to produce some action for the wife and kids or they will not want to go back.

Or anyone else can speak up if they have specific knoweldge of Boy Lake. I know this is the cass lake forum. Any help will be appericated.

Thanks in advance.
