I had to come back out with my GoPro to record the fishing on this lake. I am very impressed with how the pan fish have developed at Lake Ann. I have fished this lake for years and now I am starting to see 10 inch Gills and Crappies in the 11-12 inches! The nice sized large mouth bass are in the lake somewhere, but tonight pan fish were the most eager ones to bite.

Got out to Lake Ann after supper for some quick shore fishing. I was going for large mouth bass and northern pike, but the nice weather wasn't inviting them in! Downsized the bait for some panfish and started to get into the spawning crappie. The crappie are nice and dark and in the shallows.

First time kayak fishing on lake this season. Choppy conditions, no panfish. Only caught a pike by accident.
I saw they put the main dock back in the water today. Now it's time to fish!

I went out yesterday morning and drilled a hole about a 100 feet off shore and it was only 3 inches . I decided not to fish because it was that thin near the shore, with the cold weather coming, it should have 5 or 6 inches by Christmas.

The lake was hit or miss all summer. I think the growing crowd of people at the park has put pressure on the fish. I did get luck today after work! I landed this huge 21" bass on a 1/2oz Rat L Trap! With the weather transitioning to fall and the water temps cooling, the fish are out feeding.
