many spots over 40 ft deep.
most of peavy is a rock island, rock outcropping, submerged rock hazard..occasionally a floating limb in spring or after a heavy rain..i would say 30 foot as about deepest..and only in spots near dam..where michigamme river enters. the rest is shallower, weedy and highly fishable
Peavy does have hazards like all bodies of water. Proceed with caution. Sadly, Navionics nor Lakemaster include it on their chips. If you have suitable electronics, you can map it for yourself.
How bad is this lake to navigate? Heard there is a lot of hazards
Does anyone ice fish this? Does Peavy even ice up in the winter? Thanks!
A lot of undersized walleye, only one legal between two guys and two days fishing. Some good perch and of course smallies and rock bass. Had a good time fishing, brought back enough fish to enjoy for dinner.
Anyone know what happened to the smallmouth above pait river landing? Nothing but dinks almost like a fish kill reset everything?
No shortage of crayfish just small and few smallmouth.
Heading up in a few weeks - gonna hit Peavy and the Fortune Lakes. Will post report!
