Any suggestions about salmon or steelhead fishing in Marquette County. I will be within 75 miles from there and would take a hike over that way if I had a crumb of info to go on by someone who is familiar with the area.

Spent the weekend in the Western U.P. chasing steel. Rivers were a bit low and clear, and there didn't seem to be any fish around. A few redds though. I've heard that they came through already, but I'd bet that we have another wave coming up if there's rain.

I had car problems around Kenton and didn't get to fish as much as I would have liked. Still got a few nice resident trout.

Tight lines everyone!

Thanks for the info/links Moon! Going to give her a go this spring. I’ve rounded up some buddies that have a vast knowledge of fishing steelies on the Au Sable to teach me a thing or two. Thanks again

I was wondering if anyone has any first-hand fishing knowledge of the “big” Huron River in Baraga County that flows around the Huron Mts? My family owns a bit of acreage along the river between Big Erics bridge and the mouth. I was curious on what species use the river both spring and fall. I’ve heard the great stories from the elders yet haven’t caught a damn thing. Used mostly as a hunting camp it sure would be nice to do some good fishing too. Any info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks
