FISHING REPORT
Recent rainfall bumped water levels briefly but all area rivers and streams remain low with good to excellent clarity. Chance of showers through weekend with temperatures in the 60's to 30's. With this cold snap, fish activity has slowed.

Hit and miss fish activity. Lake levels dropping. Wind activity resuspending sediments. Fish activity improving as water warms.

Bluegill - Fair: Try fishing along rocky shoreline and near structure using a small piece of worm under a bobber about a foot off the bottom.

Black Crappie - Fair: Fish near brush piles or drop offs using a hook tipped with a minnow or small spinner bait.

Largemouth Bass - Good: Use a small spinner or crank bait fished near drop offs or other structure.

FISHING FORECAST
The installation of rock reefs in the north arm in 2014 and new jetty in 2016 provide additional places for fish to hang around. Bluegills, mostly 6- to 8-inches, are common with some exceeding 8-inches. The largemouth bass population is balanced, with fish up to 18-inches. Channel Catfish will be stocked this year. Fish from 9- to 25-inches are ready to be caught. Nice numbers of Black Crappie are available. See more at http://co.howard.ia.us/offices/conservation/lakehendricks.htm.(2017)
