Mississippi River Pools 16-19. Tailwater stages have been steady to falling slowly the past few days. Main channel water temperature is around 80 degrees and water clarity has been fair. River conditions are low so use caution when boating. If you have questions on fishing Pool 16-19 contact the Fairport Fish Hatchery at 563-263-5062.

Bluegill - No Report: Look for bluegills in the backwaters. Try fishing with pieces of worm under a bobber around brush piles.

Channel Catfish - No Report: Look for channel catfish around brush piles and snags along the main channel and side channels. Try fishing with dipbaits, cut shad, or night crawlers. Look for channel catfish around riprap shorelines with current. Try floating leeches or nightcrawlers under a bobber along the rocks.

Tailwater stage at Lock and Dam 18 above Burlington is 0.95 feet and has been falling slowly. Floodstage is 10 feet. River stage at Burlington is 7.59 feet and floodstage is 15 feet. River stage at Fort Madison is 525.32 feet and floodstage is 528.0 feet. We have not received much for fishing reports for this pool this week.

Mississippi River Pools 16-19. Tailwater stages did rise some this past weekend. River stages are forecasted to fall slowly the next few days. Main channel water temperature is around 80-83 degrees and water clarity has been fair. River conditions are low so use caution when boating. If you have questions on fishing Pool 16-19 contact the Fairport Fish Hatchery at 563-263-5062.

Bluegill - No Report: Look for bluegills in the backwaters. Try fishing with pieces of worm under a bobber around brush piles.

Channel Catfish - No Report: Look for channel catfish around brush piles and snags along the main channel and side channels. Try fishing with dipbaits, cut shad, or night crawlers. Look for channel catfish around riprap shorelines with current. Try floating leeches or nightcrawlers under a bobber along the rocks.

Some boat ramps are starting to open back up. If you have questions on fishing Pool 16-19 contact the Fairport Fish Hatchery at 563-263-5062.

Tailwater stage at Lock and Dam 18 above Burlington is 8.23 feet and falling. Floodstage is 10 feet. River stage at Burlington is 13.33 feet and floodstage is 15 feet. River stage at Fort Madison is 527.01 feet and floodstage is 528.0 feet. We have not received any fishing reports or boat ramp condition reports for this pool this week.
