For information on lakes in the Southwest District call the Cold Springs office at (712) 769-2587.

Black Crappie - Fair: The large year class of 6 inch black crappies are now 8 to 9 inches. Sorting will still be necessary but a larger percentage of crappies are now acceptable.

Bluegill - Fair: Find bluegills around the roadbeds and slow trolling the creek channels keeping your bait in 8 feet of water. Anglers using small jigs tipped with crawler are having the best success.

Water clarity remains good at Anita.

Channel Catfish - No Report:

Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth bass are in the tree piles and along vegetation edges.

For information on lakes in the Southwest District call the Cold Springs office at (712) 769-2587.

Black Crappie - Fair: The large year class of 6 inch black crappies are now 8 to 9 inches. Sorting will still be necessary but a larger percentage of crappies are now acceptable.

Bluegill - Fair: Find bluegills around the roadbeds and slow trolling the creek channels in 8 feet of water. The best fishing has been early in the morning before it gets hot.

Water clarity remains good at Anita. Pan fish will stay in 8 to 10 feet of water during the heat of the day.

Channel Catfish - No Report:

Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth bass are in the tree piles and along vegetation edges.

Bluegill - Fair: If bluegills are not on the reefs spawning troll the creek channels to find 8 inch fish.

Bluegills are spawning on the underwater reefs. Bass fishing has been good.

Largemouth Bass - Good: Largemouth bass are in the tree piles and along vegetation edges.
