Caught 8 channel cat in 2 to 3 pound range in approximately 2 hours today. Fishing in 2 feet of water just below  bobbers marina. Shad were scattered in 5 foot of water and it took longer to get enough  bait than it did to catch the fish.

Wow the Res is rock'n with catfish, carp and fisherman. The best fishing I have seen in a while. North end of the Res is hot right now for catfish, mostly eater size. I am not seeing too many larger fish yet.

Catfishing is great fun now! Caught both channel cats, flatheads and a 4 to 5 pound carp thrown in from time to time just to keep it interesting. Finding more and more flatheads in coralville. Can't wait to find one of those big ones.

Tight lines,

cliff

Wow, I hit the mother load of Channel Cats last night. Could have easily gotten a limit had to quit at sundown. Catfish were hitting as soon as the worm hit the bottom. None large just good eating size 14 inch. Only got one carp during the hour and a half of non-stop action! I don't keep any fish to eat so they are all swiming for others to catch today!

Fish were in 4 to 8 feet of water on shallow gravel.

Tight lines, Cliff.

Got a couple cats down by the 965 bridge. Any one else having any luck? Water is finally going down and we now have several more boat ramps available now.

Tried Coralville yesterday. Wind was blowing 20+ mph and spent 2 hours fishing with no luck. Wish I could go today, looks much better today. Tried worms and stink bait north end of lake.
