Channel Catfish - Fair: Try trolling cutbait in the channel or up on shallow flats, depending on the fish activity. Some fish have also been caught on shrimp up near Curtis Bridge.

The lake level on 9/10 is 684.7' and very slowly rising to waterfowl fall pool.

White Crappie - Slow: A few fish are being caught off rock banks.

The lake is at normal summer pool of 683.5'. The ramp in Macbride State Park is closed due to storm clean up. Some of the Corps ramps may be closed as well. Sandy Beach and Mehaffey Ramps are open.

Caught 8 channel cat in 2 to 3 pound range in approximately 2 hours today. Fishing in 2 feet of water just below  bobbers marina. Shad were scattered in 5 foot of water and it took longer to get enough  bait than it did to catch the fish.

Wow the Res is rock'n with catfish, carp and fisherman. The best fishing I have seen in a while. North end of the Res is hot right now for catfish, mostly eater size. I am not seeing too many larger fish yet.

Catfishing is great fun now! Caught both channel cats, flatheads and a 4 to 5 pound carp thrown in from time to time just to keep it interesting. Finding more and more flatheads in coralville. Can't wait to find one of those big ones.
