Interior rivers continue to drop and are providing some great angling opportunities. Lakes in and around the Cedar Falls/ Waterloo area have been fair for largemouth bass and panfish. Trout streams are in excellent condition. All fish hatcheries remain closed, for further information contact the N.E. District Office at 563-927-3276.

Black Crappie - Fair: Try vertical jigging or casting colored tube jigs around structure or drifting a minnow under a slip bobber.

There have been a few reports of anglers catching some crappie in Big Woods Lake.
