The water temperatures have been creeping up into the low 50's on some afternoons but a majority of the time it's running around 47-48 degrees.

Black Crappie - Fair: A few crappies are getting caught out along the edges of the trees in deeper water. They are really scattered so be prepared to move to find them.

For more information on the above lakes call the Lake Darling Fisheries Office at (31) 694-2430.

Black Crappie - Fair: Not a lot of angler activity out on the lake. The crappies are definitely out along the edges of the flooded timber and open water areas pretty close to the same areas you find them during ice fishing season.

Water temperature is holding pretty steady now at about 48 degrees.

Largemouth Bass - Fair: Most of the bass are either hanging out in the deeper water around the trees or coming into shallower water that's not far from the edge of deeper water.

Water temperature was sitting near 60 degrees on Tuesday. Probably moved a little higher but looks to be dropping fast the next few days.

Black Crappie - Fair: Seems like the crappies have decided to stay out in deeper water along the edges of the trees. They are scattered in smaller schools so moving around to find them is mandatory.

Bluegill - Fair: The bluegills are hanging around the habitat in 3-4 foot of water. Bobber and worm or small jigs tipped with a wax worm.

Water temperature has dropped into the mid 60's.

Largemouth Bass - Fair: The bass are starting to move in a little shallower but most are still out in the timber in deeper water maybe after the storm fronts move through later this week they will come in shallow.

Black Crappie - Fair: The crappies are still of two minds: some are in closer to shore in 3-4 foot of water and many others remains further out in the flooded timber at a depth of 6-8 foot of water.

Bluegill - Fair: The bluegills have moved in a little shallower to the habitat in 3-4 foot of water. Bobber and worm or small jigs tipped with a wax worm.

Bluegill - Fair: They are holding out in that deeper water yet. Expect them to come in shallow as the water cools.

Largemouth Bass - Fair: The bass fishing is picking up a little bit now. They are still out in 5-6 foot of water but the are getting more active. Fish weedless rigged soft plastic back through the flooded timber in 5 to 6 foot of water.

Water temperature was holding in the mid 70's this week.

Black Crappie - Fair: Still picking up some crappies in shallower 3-4 foot of water along the rocks where they are feeding off small YOY fish. Most are hanging out in deeper water yet, waiting for the cool down.

The water cooled down a little the first part of this week but looks to be warming right back up by the end of this week.

Bluegill - Fair: The bluegills also remained out in the deeper water; down 5 or 6 feet from the surface. Worm and bobber. Maybe the overcast the next few days will let them come in shallower.

Largemouth Bass - Slow: The early weather forecast for this week fooled me but not the bass they stayed out in deeper water. A few of the smaller bass did come in shallow to feed but even they didn't stray too far from the deeper water.

Black Crappie - Slow: A few anglers picked up some crappies nearer shore but even those were next to the drop-offs. The rest of the crappies remained scattered out in the trees down at 6 foot deep.

Black Crappie - Slow: The warm temps earlier this week didn't let the crappies move in shallower. They remained out in deeper water. Maybe the cool weather this weekend and next week will trigger the move.

Bluegill - Fair: They are remaining out in the trees down 5 or 6 feet from the surface. Worm and bobber. Maybe the overcast the next few days will let them come in shallower.

Largemouth Bass - Slow: With forecasted wet weather moving in at the end of the week. I would expect the cooler temps and clouds to let the bigger bass to move in shallow to start fattening up for the fall.

Water temperature still in the upper 70's. The nights are getting cooler but the warm afternoons aren't letting the water temp drop much.

Water temperature held at 79 degrees but should be starting to fall with the cooler nights.

Largemouth Bass - Slow: Look for them down at about 6 feet no deeper. Flip soft plastics and jigs back into the flooded timber at between 4 and 6 feet down to find them.

Bluegill - Fair: They are remaining out in the trees down 5 or 6 feet from the surface. Worm and bobber.

Black Crappie - Fair: The cooler nights should bring cooler water temps which should in turn get the crappies feeding more actively. Expect them to stay out in that 6-7 foot depth for a while yet.
