I have been trying to fish pine and stone lake for the last couple of weeks and have been skunked every time. I have no idea what the bass in this lake want as far as artificial lures go. I have been marking some schools of fish suspended in deeper water, but they will not bite. I'm also currently remapping parts of both lakes as the garmin map was way off. Unless I figure out what they want next time out, I will likely find other places to go.

I've fished the Southwest side of Stone Lake the last 3 days, mostly around the docks. Very few bites, sight fishing crystal clear water. Bass won't hit anything aside from the occasional fly, and those are babies. Tried plastics, jigs, frogs, and spinners, nothing. The bite is all but non-existent. Beds are starting to appear. We'll have spawn in a week or two and things should pick up.

I always have good luck on from the pulic boat launch at Stone Lake. Using weedless worms casting right along the weedbeds Caught 8 nice bass 3 of them over 16 inches. Bass didn't seem interested in my rattlers, jigs, or divers, but they ate up my weedless worms. Best time i've found is between 7 pm and 11 pm.

My buddy and I fish Pine this evening. We fished the channels or bays or whatever you want to call them. The main lake was 62 degrees and the bays were 67 to 68 degrees. For future reference, the trees just started growing leaves about 4 or 5 days ago. We caught 6 Largemouth between the two of us and missed about 6 or 7. We fished only with 4" tube jigs and 6" plastic worms. We did not fish the main lake so I don't know what they are doing. The Lili Pads are also starting to grow now pretty good. North breeze but nothing really hard. Hardly and boats on the water. We only spent about an hour and a half on the water, so that's not bad. No big size.

WE NEED MORE REPORTS HERE IN INDIANA GUYS.
