been fishing here for about 41/2 years and like most lakes it can be moody at times. but all and all it a good place to fish for a verity of fish. ( i wish they would stop the poisoning )mostly i fish for the northern and bass, but you can also get a walleye and have a shot at a musky and cant forget the panfish.to sum it up this lake is close to home and you can be surprised at what you can catch.

This once great lake has been slipping the last few years, probably due to continual weed poisoning plus a large increase in boat traffic which keeps up until dark( no no wake after 7:00 pm.)
There are still big bass and a good northern population with many 30 inches or over. Walleyes are also in relative abundance and the panfishing in general is above average.
For me the fishing is only good when the weeds are present out past 10 FOW.
