Storey Lake Reviews

Galesburg

Lake level has been lowered by 5 feet for the annual draw down to help thin out the little ones and fatten up the big ones. Must use the west boat ramp. Crappie fishing is very good, but many small fish, need to be thinned out. Cleaned 35 crappie on Saturday, one 10-1/2 inches, all the rest under 8-1/2. Threw back about 20 fish under 7-1/2 inches.
The lake is called Lake Storey, not Storey Lake; named after Mr. Storey the head of the Santa Fe RR when they donated the lake to the city of Galesburg.
