Stopped by this lake on Labor-Day weekend and did not fish due to the number of dead fish (looked like carp) by the southern-most dock/pier. Maybe 50-60 total. Not sure what the cause is, but the smell was prohibitive for fishing.
81° - 88° F
I honestly dont believe that as many people fish the area as years past but I could be wrong. Was never a great lake from my experience, I havent fished it in 8+ years. I do remember catching ok crappie out there, but a boat was needed to get to some off shore structure and cribs. As far as shore fishing, maybe a bass here and a bass there, usually only a couple per day at most just fishing obvious structure that you can see from shore with texas rigged plastics. Sorry can't help you more, just haven't fished there a whole lot due to limited success at lake Sule.
