You’d be better off making the long hike to the back pond. Thicker ice and larger fish ;)
As cranberry stated, you can fish it. The crappies in there are currently small. like nothing over 8”. Plus they usually sit a little over 30’ feet deep so catching them usually results in bloated bellies and floating fish. The ice is usually 1/10 the thickness you’ll find on nearby lakes on the same day. I’d be willing to bet it’ll be fishable in a few weeks with some real cold temps. Usually when rock cut has around a foot of ice, Spencer will have somewhere around 3-6”. It’s always real thin there
I’ve fished it in the past. Really good for crappie if you can find em just be careful of the ice cause the ice measures different everywhere could be 8 inches in one spot and 2 in another that’s goin on my past experiences!
I was just wondering if you are aloud to ice fish on blue lake in spencer park?
