Got out yesterday away from the crowd. Fished 8am-2pm. Cold and windy. Got on a school of gills. Chartreuse ratfinke tipped with a wiggler approximately 12 fow. Also landed two decent channel cats on tipups rigged for walleye (small Swedish pimple green/silver tail hooked medium fathead) approx 8 fow

Anyone producing walleye on pistakee? Should be some pigs swimming around.

Anyone got any tips on places they're willing to give up to fish on Pistakee? First time going out. Would love to get into some catfish or walleyes.

We've been on the Bay by Oak Park Lounge this Monday and did ok for bluegills and got some crappie to harvest as well. My bro made a video from fishing testing some of his light weight setups for panfishing.

Called the oak lounge. You can park and pay at top of hill only. I have no idea how far away it is. But once again another spot lost to well we all know!

Any questions about Oak Parks parking situation you should go to Ice Junkies and search Oak Park.  There is a statement from them that they posted. I believe there is at least 3 upcoming dates with NO parking at all !  Potsie still loves you Fonzie ! ????????

Gillmaniac.

You and I are both long time members of L-L.

Read my OP again. There is still PLENTY of parking.

The guy/cousin we talked to today seemed 100% legit. He had no axe to grind at all...

Did you visit OPL today and see the signs/barricades yourself  ?

I thought I was providing a public service.

If I'm wrong. I apologize here and now.

.

Edited to add: I've been going to Pistakee for many, many, years. It's  a well known community hole.

I was not trying to keep people away by "making up a story".

Heck, maybe the "cousin" I talked to is full of baloney. A simple solution would be to call OPL before heading out.

Fonzie, what ever story you just falsely reported is just that of the mysterious 10" chain bluegill. Theres plenty of parking at OPL. The ONLY date as of now there is no parking is January 30th for the radar runs. Please don't falsely report information to mislead anglers of opportunity.
