Was out today 930-Noon, fishing was extremely slow. Only 4 dinks. Drilled holes to try and find fish...nothing.
Everyone out was drilling and moving a lot.
Left at noon for lunch then after, went to Pierce, same thing. Left at 230.
Fishing was slow in 4ft of water moved near dam to 9ft gills were on -2 temp. Great start to, 2019 fish on.
Hows the ice and are the fish biting good and are Waxies or minnows working best??
How thick is the ice this week looking to go out this weekend?
Just drove by. Couple of brave souls out there. Good Luck to them...Picture was taken from the car.
I went out today to check ice, was only able to find a measured 2 1/2" average. Nearly all white snow ice. There are definitely areas close to the pier around 1 inch of ice. Stuck a branch in one directly in line with the canoe launch. More snow is going to insulate and push the ice sheet down. I'll probably recheck ice Monday. If someone is feeling braver than me on Sunday..... Spud, Drill, Measure and, Move methodically. It's going to be too cold for swimming!
