Foggy-

Fished most of the So Ill lakes last week until Sunday-

LOE had water temps in mid 60 to mid 70 range, weeds are up but still "soft", lots of pollen in the water.  Fishing was mediocre at best, only consistent fish were small 10 in bass in the still water at the very back of small coves.  My friends down there are now catching 5-6 lbers on a daily basis since Monday, some on fat cranks, some on plastics in 7-12 fow.  Crappies are okay, good sized when you can find them, got some nice ones (12-15 in) on spinnerbaits throwing for bass.  Lots of boats as usual, three 75 boat tourneys last weekend.

Also, went to Kinkaid twice last week, skunked both days throwing spinnerbaits, swimbaits, wacky, deep jigs, and cranks.  Never had a hit, never saw a fish.  Big high school 100 boat tourney last Thursday, weather got sketchy.  All points are full of slime/algae, hard to fish.  Water temps low-mid 60s, clarity very good at eastern part, poor in middle, choco milk in west as usual.

My best bet would be Devils Kitchen or Cedar, decent bass there last week, but my buddies that live down there are fishing every day and have said LOE is picking up this week.  Have fun-

Headed to LOE. I would appreciate any updates given to the bass and Crappie bite.  Water temp etc would also be appreciated. Right lines to all. - Bob

Fished LOE 3/15 and 3/16- water temps were from 49 to 55 over the two days, water in the east/south arms was choco milk, much clearer near the dam.  One decent (2.5) bass on a jig/pig from 15fow, two dinks in 3fow on a small chatterbait.  Powerplant no longer discharging. Talked to crappie guys in the bar at the end of the day, they are saying still 2-3 weeks away from deep to shallow. Also fished the kitchen the pm of 3/16, no bass, saw a fair amount of dead/dying gills on the surface of some coves- water temps low 50s, water fairly clear.

King-

Fished LOE on the 3rd and 4th- water temps were 57 at the dam, 56 in the back end.  Weather was great, bass were lousy- 2 dinks in two days, don't know about the crappie.  Bass were hammering schooling shad all over the lake but were not taking our baits when we threw into the frenzy.  Went to Devils Kitchen for half day, same water temps, better fishing- half dozen 2+ pound bass in a half day.  Good luck.

Does anyone know current water temps? I heard they were shutting down one of the plants, wanna know if it’s worth going down there this upcoming weekend. Thanks in advance.
