I don't have Livescope. But I do have Panoptix. Started using it last year. Fished on Saturday and only caught 15 potato chip bluegill. This year was not good on the ice. I did see big fish swim through my sonar cone a few times. I'm guessing they were bass.

I agree with that and better management is in the talks once the lake work is completed
This year hasn't been good except for a few random days.
The bluegill, yellow perch and saugeye fishing has fallen off the most.
The bass and crappie bite is a little better but that was a given since they hit rock bottom the last few years.
I did see one very big fish on the flasher for the first time in a couple of years and I've noticed I don't catch any bluegills with gash marks anymore. I used to get a couple of those a day.
Hopefully they get rid of those sunken 4-5 old docks this year! the steel poles are 6in below the water line and is a real serious hazard! at very least will put a beautiful 10ft scratch and gouge on the side of any ones boat. On another note might try going up there before the ice is gone but haven't heard good news on a bite there! It's been a dead zone there the past couple of years which is disappointing. Lake Carlton is a beautiful lake and park and the fish population and health should be monitored better!
I haven't taken that path to the lake this winter. I only noticed it was still there from a distance. I didn't see that it had part of it cut away. That hill is a killer to walk up with a sled full of gear. As I get older I find it easier to just walk from the boat ramp using my Smitty Sled.
