Caught this 24-25 inch Muskie on a Bluegill patterned crankbait. I just fished from shore for a couple hours. This was the only thing I caught.

The lake is 98 percent open water. Not looking like there will be any ice fishing this year.
That's too bad. The one I caught swam away after I held it over the side of the boat for a few minutes until it started swimming on its own.
Yikes. We were out there too today and saw a dead musky about that long on the shoreline.

The sky cleared up and it was a beautiful day on the water. Tried trolling for walleye a bit with no luck. First cast with a Rapala Scatter Rap and bam! I hooked into a 38 inch Musky. Got him in the boat, took a couple photos and released to swim again. Had a gash in the tail end. Looks like he may have got hit by a motor prop.
11° - 15° F
Fished for about 2 hours last night. Caught a few small bluegill and a 13-3/4" Largemouth Bass. Wind was blowing pretty good. Ice is thick but white on top. With the warm up a week ago it make the ice glassy on top. Easy to pull the sled over.
36° - 40° F
Son and I fished from 10am to 1:30pm. We each got 1 bluegill. We fished the road bed and had lots of follows. I changed baits often trying to get them to bite. They were slow to attack and really didn't seem to want to even look at our baits. The ice was 11 inches but the top 4-5 inches was white ice or slushy.

Fished the dhift tournament on Saturday. Only caught 1 bluegill. People all over the place. There were some sketchy areas on the ice. There was ice underneath and some slushy spots on top. Didn't hear of many other people catching fish.
I was out Friday there was 4-5 inches didn’t get a bite though
