Never fished there. But why are would not have the proper number of life jackets in your boat? It your fault you got the ticket not the DNR for being there!

This lake has really gone downhill, full of weeds, shallow, and you can only fish half of it. To make things worse the DNR was waiting on the dock to write tickets to every person who came in. I got a 120$ ticket for having a class 4 pfd for 1 person. The last time my buddies went here they got tickets too. It really ruins a day of bad fishing. I will never go there again and neither will my buddies. Find a better place to fish.
I have not fished it since a few years ago before it closed, (it was awesome that day, over 30 bass on scumfrogs) but my buddy went out a few days after it opened this year. He and his son fished 6 hours and only landed one bass and one northern. He said it is already getting very weedy.
Even though he didn't have that great of a day, I'm still going to fish it a few times this summer.
I was wondering if anyone had any updated info on this place. I know they just reopened last year but any info out there on the web is dated. I was thinking about going out there next weekend and wanted to at least know that it was open and worth the trip. Thanks in advance for any help.
