Fishing was slow for us by the marina on Saturday. We ended up moving to SE area of lake south of the channel to Marie and had better luck. Fish were pretty finicky. Smallest jigs/waxie we could find worked for us. Ice was a little better south of the channel compared to by the marina. Perch, crappie and gills in the afternoon until sun down. We set up tip ups, no action.

Today's Fishing Forecast

I have to say the ice looks bad all channels flowing into channel are open that I saw ice is black.....with water on it I would recommend you stay off ,,,,we well be making ice again the next 10 days if the reports are right now it is raining and rained off and on all night .....lakes just north of the state line look better but I would not go out there either for a day or two......
Out on channel from musky tails and 4" of good ice from the launch across to North shore, through the gap to Catherine all around Catherine. Of course, check yourself as you go.
So far lots of sniffers in various sizes. Plastics, waxes and minnows not getting bit. Several toothy critters cruising in 12 to 16 ft.
Ice is varying in depth from lake to lake.Shorelines make it fun to get on.Contact the local baitshops for up to date reports.Even then ,be smart. Carry a spud bar, spikes, extra rope, and do not go out alone.I am waiting for another good freeze before i go back out
