Tried several spots on the lake and did not catch anything. In front of Kathy’s, I was marking fish but could not get anything to bite. Ice thickness where I drilled was around 6 inches so plenty safe.
Below 40° F
21° - 25° F
Ice is around 2.5 inches thick. I did not go out far from shore. Did not see any fish on radar but was only out 30 mins. Be careful if you go out.
this ain't a report I have been ice fishing now for over 50 years have fished from the dakotas to upstate new york from springfield Ill north to international falls,,,,, and have seen snow on thin ice keep that ice thin for weeks with temps averaging 20 below for a week or better fell thru the ice many times when younger been at least 4 years now going thru with water over my head next time will be my last to dam old to get myself out anymore anyway the cold weather coming ain;t no garrantee of safe ice because of the snow blanket more than likely just a natural trap for those that don't take care,, be,, safe bring a spud and use it the rest of this season on water you don't know from last few days..............
6° - 10° F
Ice around the edges are safe especially after last night. I would still stay away from the middle of the lake for a few more days. I may try fishing today.
