I have been fishing 3 times this year and am still hoping to catch my first fish. I fished the Narrows on Minnetonka twice and once on the Crow river at the canoe launch in Rockford. Talk about social distancing ! Another 44 days until the Minnesota fishing season opens!

Sunfish are alway OPEN

Sorry about the harsh comment. Got decent access to some good fishing in Wi and Il. Lived in Illinios all of my life. Love Wisconsin. Love Illinois. Cost too much to live in Illinois. They leave me no choice. I will leave this state as soon as I am able.

FROM Illinois DNR Facebook page

Clarification to "Stay at home" Executive Order. We have received a number of questions regarding hunting and fishing during the Governor's mandatory "Stay at home" Executive Order. We have now received clarification from the Governor's Office about this issue. Please see the message below. ---"As long as our sportsmen and women are fishing or hunting at a site which is currently open (State Parks, Fish and Wildlife Areas, Recreational Areas, and Historic Sites are currently closed) and they have the appropriate licenses and permits, they may continue to hunt and fish during the stay at home order."---

IDNR is bound by Statute, Administrative Rules, and Executive Orders and are doing all they legally can to come up with solutions. We understand this is a difficult time for many people, please remember why this is being done and do your part to keep those around you and those in your community safe and healthy. Never before have you been able to help so much by doing so little.

Nice pics Musky Jim, well done. Sorry to hear that chudman! Yes shoreline fishing does place certain challenges upon us but this varies per spot. Personally I try to stay away from the heard in general. Hunting or fishing. I put extra effort into this. Lol. I also do the same for anglers. I try and figure out a pattern, spot, bait, and so on. Rather than watch a fisherman and try to angle on his spot. very common in the last few years. Especially Delevan and the chain. Anyway the weather seems to be heading back in the right direction. Gonna try for a hr or two this afternoon. Probably work the break lines . Just need these night temps to start warming up.  Chudman you feel frogging one weekend hit me up ill take ya out for some shoreline fishing. Just gonna get better from here on out! Tight lines!

I imagine as long as you practice social distancing (minimum 6 feet apart) then it is just fine.  As far as lakefront fishing, not many respect personal space so I will stay away as I am undergoing chemo and catching this virus would be a death sentence.  Please respect your fellow anglers in these trying times.  God bless

Chudman
