Congrats to all who got a wolf!  I didn't draw a tag, but I'm ok with that as my success would have been far from likely due to limited time to hunt.  I agree 1000 % this should open eyes as to how many wolves are out there. Should remove any doubt what the number 1 reason is for northern deer herd decline over the years.  Let's hope we continue to have seasons with adequate quotas!

162 wolves have been harvested.  I'm sure it'll bump up more though.

Well done Wisconsin Sportsmen!

Great job guys I figured the season would end before I could get up north. Oh well looks like I'll be coyote hunting then. The group I hunt with filled 2 tags ran multiple wolves and cut 4 new set of tracks today while running one. Even though the hunters where able to take out a small amount I don't think it's enough.

Wolf season a success! Thanks to all that was able to harvest over the quota in the the zone I deer hunt in and had speculation that there is a crap ton a wolfs. A two day season proves that. Action speaks louder then words and science in my mind. Im hoping to get a tag in fall and would be open to any help from the wonderful people that have these critters figured out.

To have the season close in two days because quotas are met, when people could not fully prepare for it because of how quickly the season was established, and to have a season start on a Monday, it shows that the wolf population is at a level where management makes absolute sense.  There are more wolves than certain people realize, especially people that don't live or hunt in areas where we do.  Sure seems like a lot of wolves...hot off the presses:
