I'm not even certain what that means.  Can you clarify?
I stated what I believed the survey was attempting to do; access new hunters for a survey.

Kinda sounds like it falls in the category of, keep asking the questions till you get the answer you want.

I rec'd that DNR email a few days ago and took the survey.  Actually, I took a prequalification survey of sorts; after answer perhaps 12 questions with multiple answer options (what outdoor activities do you engage in?  Multiple responses of course).  At the end of this process, I received a response stating that I wasn't the candidate they were looking for in the survey.

My takeaway is that they were reaching out to determine something about new, first time, or novice hunters, not intermediate (me) or experienced hunters.  Perhaps inartfully, based upon the number of snowflakes upset by the process.

I got the same email as you guys, started the survey. After getting a few pages into it it kicked me out and said something like along the lines of they are not interested in hearing from people like me LOL. Can't imagine why, I gave the DNR nothing but "positive" feedback hahahaha.

I had the same experience on both the Spring Hearing and Hunter Ed.  I could not give my input on either.
Really wanted to let them know what I thought about the new Spring Hearing process.

I saw recently that an organization is asking for input on a DNR issue because the DNR isn't taking any input on it's own. That org. is going to compile it's own info. and attempt to get that info into the record. Strange new world in the last few months at the DNR/NRB.

A day or two ago I received an email from the DNR asking me to take a survey, something I’ve done several times in the past. When going to the survey link I got a response that the survey was no longer available. No explanation for why it wasn’t available or what it was for.

Dave1234 yesterday I received an email with a survey on hunter safety. I took the survey and today I received the same email you posted in the picture below.
I wish I would have received a survey on the spring hearings.

I received an email from the dnr asking me to take a survey for input on the April hearings.  I clicked on the link and it said they meet their quota and I could not take the survey!  I really wanted to see it and give my opinion.  I guess they did not want it. What a bunch of crap!  Did anyone take the survey or get the same results as me?

I will miss interacting with Bill Bruins.  He never playes the fool at board meetings.   He is a great listener and is reasonable.   Our last chat was off camera.  Bill and I were discussing ways to  integrate farm practices with natural resources to improve prairie chicken habitat.   The other person in the discussion was a gentleman from Wisconsin Greenfire.  The conversation was productive, polite and some great ideas were shared.

Terry Hilgenberg provided a unique skillset to the board.   He is a master negotiator of complex real estate deals.  He worked closely with his equal at the DNR and that teamwork was evident at board meetings.   Terry  also ran a smooth meeting when he was chairman of the board.

Aside from skillsets, both Bill and Terry are really nice people.   It will be strange not being able to chat with them.

Preston Cole was a stable figure during a time characterized by political instability.   He helped improve the relationship between the tribes and the state.  His background in large city waste management helped provide direction to the board when pollution issues came up.

Awesome news indeed, about Flippin time. edit, and Kaz is no longer the chair. Even better news.

What will 2023 bring from the NRB  &  DNR?

New leader at the helm of the DNR replacing Preston Cole.  Prehn submitting his resignation In December.  Additionally, Bill Bruins mysteriously submitting his resignation via phone call with no reasons given  ( Really, no lose there ).   Now the board starting with two new Evers appointees.

Todays Jan 25th meeting agenda includes election of chair  and co chair.   After losing two of his disciples, will Kaz stay the course?

It really would not surprise me if Hilgenberg throws the towel in next.

Both Kaz and Hilgenbergs term expire in May of 2023.

Whatever happens will happen, my major hope is that politics will not rule more then they do now.  Politics should not rule hunting, fishing, or Natural Resources.
