Thanks leechster

It made for an adventurous day, I didn’t know she was videoing a lot of that time but loved it when we reviewed stuff back home.

She still got some sets out that day, will likely this weekend get up the video with that weekends catches.

That was a funny one Camo!!! Sorry about getting the Ram stuck in mud, but I heard ur daughter say she told ya not to drive down the muddy road! (About 20 times I heard her)lol. I still have to show the wife that edition. I can appreciate the calm demeanor you showed while trying to finesse the Ram out of the mud. Glad ya got out and enjoy watching ur show!!!

The market is not good at all for furs, hasn't been for years.  She hasn't sold any of her beaver yet but likely she will get about 3-5 dollars a hide green frozen skins.  Castor is going for decent money around 80 dollars a pound.  She will also sell the skulls, and tails for leather.   We also eat the meat (little secret its better than venison).  So in terms of making money and offsetting expenses your not.  But for a ten year old she will likely all said and done make about 25 bucks each beaver.  So for her it will be a nice pay day for having fun doing something she enjoys when she does sell everything off, I think she is at 8 beaver right now.  Muskrats are going for about 4 dollars a skin and thats all you can really sell from them.  She has a handful of those incidental in beaver sets.

Is there any kind of market for fur ?  I heard it was down . I know my neighbors gave up on coyotes.  And we have a lot.  2 years ago they got over 30 total .

She just started trapping doing more herself during Christmas break and loves it.   When she was real little I did some with her on my shoulders.   She plans to do a lot more and wants to do beaver every spring break now.   She’s been working hard long mornings before I go to work second shift.  Tomorrow is pull day then it’s work on lots of video editing.

I figured this was click bait, but on a more serious note, It's great seeing a young lady getting involved in trapping.  My family has trapped for generations and it's tough work.  I will have to check out her YouTube channel.
