Hello folks,
I have been doing some research and studying some topo maps in a search for small streams or little panfish lakes to take my little boy out fishing this year. Hoping to find something that offers us the ability to get a short drive out of the Fox Valley and walk a stream or take a walk through the woods. He is only a few years old so the fishing is just a bonus but he gets excited when we go and he sees any wildlife. I am trying to instill a passion for the outdoors and he has been asking me to take him fishing, just not sure I am comfortable taking him on the boat yet to fish. we do go for short boat rides but to this point have left the rods back on shore and focused on safety.
