Winnebago System Fisheries Management

Not sure where to start this, the fallout surrounding the caviar investigation is disturbing.

  We now have only 1 fish tech in the Oshkosh office.  Some jobs have been filled but are no longer in the Oshkosh office.

  We have lost years of contacts and connections with land owners and local clubs. Hard to do field work without employees to lead the volunteer groups. When we lost Ryan we lost the contact with the USF&W . We no longer here anything about the feds and the possibility of closing the sturgeon season.  What about walleye spawning marsh maintenance, how years of poor spawn can the system handle.

What about spearing regulations? Where will the registration stations be? 

Can you use underwater cameras for sturgeon spearing?

Yes it is true, there is know one left. Kendall retired a year ago. The guy hired to replace Kendall lives in Stevens Point and has a office in Wautoma. After the caviar investigation know one wants to be in the same building with law enforcement.  Like I said before if no one is left, whose doing the day to day management on the system.

Is it true Adam Nickle has left?? I think Kempke is the one who should retire, and get a modern look on managing the system with a younger person in. Look how Minnesota got Lake Mille Lacs back.

Adam Nickle our walleye management fish biologist has now left the Winnebago system also. 

The activities he did had been going on for decades, others had done worse and not lost jobs, I bet 80% of people feel he shouldn't have been fired. Going yi be a long road to move forward.
