Yesterday driving over the bridge going to the DNR launch I saw 2 white flags 50? Ft. apart in the river on the north side of the bridge.  Anyone know what that’s about?   CARPIO

Not yet, they’re not done with their assessment apparently.  CARPIO

Those nets were a catfish survey. I contacted our area biologist and received a prompt reply. The representative stated that they netted 300 + catfish of various sizes and when their tabulation is completed they will email me the results which I will post. CARPIO

I would have to agree with Duckbird. Probably the DNR with drop nets. I lived on the west shore and they would net early spring along our shoreline ~ they were flagged the same way.

Maybe an attempt to trap/study resident fish species in the river.
