My name is Lexi Guzman, and I'm a researcher at UW-Madison working on a project to assess how anglers view ice safety during the winter fishing season in Green Bay. The goal of this project is to increase awareness of the risks inherent to ice fishing by updating and creating new ice safety resources for everyone. I too sent an e-mail.....Fishing Green Bay ice is always hit and miss. Last year was walking out; the 2 years before there was some driving of trucks. We'll see how it goes this year. Posting of ice thicknesses on Lake Link is a valuable tool for some. Spin it any way you want but information is power. Power to the people!
