Thoughts about the ice last year? I want to hear them! My name is Lexi Guzman, and I'm a researcher at UW-Madison working on a project to assess how anglers view ice safety during the winter fishing season in Green Bay. The goal of this project is to increase awareness of the risks inherent to ice fishing by updating and creating new ice safety resources for everyone. To do this we're hoping to talk to any and all anglers, current and former, about their experiences ice fishing on the bay. If you have 15 minutes to spare, please message me so we can set up a time for a quick interview about your experiences on the ice. My email is [email protected]. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I too sent an e-mail.....Fishing Green Bay ice is always hit and miss. Last year was walking out; the 2 years before there was some driving of trucks. We'll see how it goes this year. Posting of ice thicknesses  on Lake Link is a valuable tool for some. Spin it any way you want but information is power. Power to the people!

Why not just come-out and say it's a "global warming" or "climate crisis" study and affirm your political agenda, rather than try to fool a bunch of "hick" fisherman?

Everyone who floats away on an iceberg tends to say that there was 10" of ice when they are interviewed.  They never say that they checked the wind or if the bay had open water in the middle.  They all only focus on ice depth....and that's why they drift away.
