best blue gill lake in wi
I may be biased since I live near Madison, but the Madison chain has some good gills. I fish all four lakes for them. Some years are down years on a couple of the lakes but they always seem to bounce back. My favorite way to catch them is drifting for them in the middle of the summer. For the most part I leave the spawning gills alone. I may take my kids out once or twice to do some bobber fishing, but otherwise I let them do their thing when they're spawning.
There’s a couple lakes in Oneida and Vilas counties that hold great gill.
Thanks WelderGuy, apparently NO ONE wants to "share" their favorite Blue Gill lake, so this thread is a joke!
Fish lake has TONS of 10"ers but Mud lake not so many.
The one closest to my house. Lots of fish and beautiful scenery.
Bluegill Lake is my favorite. It's got so many big gills in it they named the lake after them!
That’s the joke TOT, there are multiple lakes with that name in wi.
Mississippi River hands down for monster gills
My vote is round, but dont forget silver.
Hey BugleTrout, WHICH Long, Bass & Pike lakes are you referring to? I'm sure you're aware that there are numerous Long, Bass & Pike lakes.
