Do any one have a clear understanding  of the restrictions?

Called local bait shop he was opening he didn't know about tomorrow..

If we can go for a walk and keep social distance.. Can we go boating

I'm in the same boat (metaphorically)- the closest landing to me is 20 miles away, and there are no shore fishing opportunities within that.  It just sucks on toast for some of us, but until everybody accepts that has to suck to differing degrees for everyone for a while, all we're doing is prolonging this thing.  I just get so damn sick of everyone complaining about how much it sucks for THEM.

So then I can never fish? what do you high and mighty consider close to home? I don't have a lake 15min away (hour). I'll be damn if I'm doing everything right that I'm not going to enjoy fishing with my family.

I did not want to get into a personal back & forth on this b/c it shouldn't be necessary if we can act like adults. As it takes away from the real points here. And with some people you can't fix their ignorance.

Propbustr  look at ur last 2 posts. Unnecessarily condescending.  I wasn't there, but the fact you refer to them as fibs makes me highly doubt you made a "casual" reference. You didn't say anything about them violating the social distancing guidelines so it must have upset you they were fishing in your area. You must be one of those guys who doesn't want out of staters in your fishing area ever. Maybe one of those kids were from your community. Maybe they have a 2nd home there. I don't know, but apparently neither do you.

I totally agree that there are many many, insert your favorite derogatory reference here, people from illinois. And as mentioned, the few often ruin it for the many. However, we all know that there obviously the same type of people in wi. You seem to be a shining example of that. Take a good look at yourself before you go out there being virus enforcement, what are your true motives.

Go back and read previous posts and stick to the facts here. There are no hard line "community" definitions. Wi is open to fishing to EVERYONE. Social distancing is  the rule, but clearly there are plenty of ignorant people as many have posted about on here. Etc etc , but I believe those are the main points.

This post will probably be pulled so I hope you get a chance to read it. If you feel a need to participate in more back and forth banter feel free to message me rather than further derail this topic with your mockery.

Carry on??

once all this is over, I look forward to reading about all the lawsuits the government will have to defend itself in due to their overreach, and rights violations.

"Anglers are encouraged to fish waterbodies in their communities. Under Gov. Evers "Safer at Home" order, we must do all that we can to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Staying home as much as possible is the best way to lower COVID-19 infection rates. The public should stay as close to home as possible and in their community. The public should also avoid travel outside of their community."

My problem is that I keep reading the Wisconsin Emergency order 12 Safer at Home and I can't identify the above to be from this emergency order. I am not trying to be difficult and I surely will take some assistance or direction if it is fact and not fiction.

I have only read 2 different statements and 1 separate video from Sarah Hoye from the DNR and not on one instance did she state or promote the social distancing requirement. I find this a bit odd.

HA HA HA!!! Geez just asked a question. What is considered local? Cabin fever is making people cranky

I would have to travel hour to fish any lake from our main residence. Would some of you consider that local? I would be contaminating more people going to these places then driving 2 hours where I wouldn't even be at a boat launch.

It doesn't matter. Pretty soon all boat launches will be closed down in Wi. Michigan just did it because people couldn't follow the guidelines. Some launches and state parks are now closed in Wi because people didn't listen. It's a shame that a small percentage of people are ruining it for the majority of the people, again.

I think for some and not all this is more about keeping people off their waters and especially IL people.

I won't change our plans unless their is 100% lockdown. I talked/yelled (as we were 30 to 40 yards away) to my neighbor at the lake who is a fulltime resident. Told him we weren't going to the local station or anywhere. He told me you are the last person I'm concerned about. He is my only neighbor within 150 yard. My wife is on the frontline so we dont take this lightly at all.
