I will be having a heart Pacemaker procedure in the near future.  I have read about possible problems with driving a boat with a tiller and closeness to the motor itself.  I would appreciate comments from anyone in the same position regarding your experiences.

My BIL has a defibrillator not a pacemaker and has no problems running his 60hp Mariner. Also goes with me 90% of the time with no problems around my 150 Yamaha. He was worried when it was 1st implanted 6 years ago.
I agree check with your Doctor/Surgeon about this.

I would also talk to your Doctor before talking to the Experts on LL! Lol

Type your question in Google. Alot of good info comes up, including pacemaker user responses.. Seems 1 foot away from motor with ignition start is sufficient. I'd refer the question with your surgeon or cardiologist.
