I've seen a couple the last few years in my areas and had a buddy each of the last 2 seasons shoot one. I know guys who hunt quite close to me and they seem to shoot a fair amount of them. A couple a person it seems like.

Tons in spring. In fall I've shot 2 in 12yrs only seen 4 taken including 2 that I shot. I have seen a lot in refuges in the fall but for whatever reason they are there 1 year and the next I don't see any.

I have seen a few in the spring along a few flooded fields in the spring. In the fall, might see a couple. The last one I shot was about 4 years ago.

I come across them more in larger wetland complexes. I have shot some on smaller ponds though too. I usually get a few a year. Sometime less sometimes more.

Just curious cause I've personally only seen 1 in four years but see every other species of puddlers and divers

Done both. We have taken them in corn fields, our ponds and marshes. Why do you ask?

Haven't shot one yet, but I did see a lot this past spring in the Horicon Marsh.
