Beavertail Phantom

I primarily hunt out of a 14ft mad river canoe.  When I have another person with me I'm pretty limited to what I can fit in the canoe with us.  2 dozen decoys and a mojo or 2 and that's about all I got room for. So I'm looking into options for something to pull behind the canoe to take more decoys along.  I've pulled an otter sled and that's not fun.  That's like throwing an anchor out and trying to paddle. I don't want fiberglass and would prefer to stay under 10 feet in length.  I thought about a sit on top kayak but I tried stacking and keeping decoys on one and it didn't like it.  I've been thinking about a phantom but been hesitating to pull the trigger on it.  Any one have one?  How's it paddle?

Not sure what size canoe you use but I hunted from a 17ft canoe for years on the bay. With 2 guys I could fit 5 dozen oversized divers, 2 dozen mallards, 6 geese and a floating mojo.

Maybe your buddy needs his own canoe.
