Leaders, while casting cranks?

How do you guys do it, do you use a leader while casting cranks for walleye's?

If so, what do you use for a leader, how long, lb's, snaps?

I personally take all o-rings off all my cranks and go with the smallest snap you are comfortable with. I also personally use floro for all cranking so no swivels anywhere.

If I am trolling I just use a snap, no swivel. Casting I will use a Rapala knot, no additional hardware.

I don't use a snap swivel because I already have a swivel above. A snap swivel adds to much weight and can throw the action off. For casting original floating Rapalas usually tie directly using the Rapala knot. It gives way better action. 

No leader. Just use plain snap. A lure like the original rapala has better action with snap or snap ring.

I run mainly braid for casting cranks with a small swivel and two foot 10 or 12 lb floro leader with a small snap. No snap swivel. If its really cold and the line is freezing I'll use straight 8 or 10 lb mono.
