Homemade crawler harness ?
Beanbag...I put bullet weights in front of swivel/ leader. Anywhere from 1/8 to a 1/4 ounce. That's if I'm trying to just tickle weed tops 7 to 10 feet down in 10 to 20 feet of water. This works for casting or trolling. Otherwise I troll using 2 to 3 ounce snap weights. Let out 60 to 100 feet of line, whatever works for ya. Than snap on weights. Let out what ever amount to reach desired depth.
Personally I use Gamakatsu hooks, I typically tie a two hook harness but have done 3 as well. I have plenty of beads both plain and rattling around so I can tie what I need. I use a plastic clevis so I can remove or change the blade as needed. I tie them on a 12 LBS Flourocabon. People ask why 12 LBS, I feel that when you have a spinner spinning on the line, the line will not run through. Use a good swivel on the other end and you are good to go. Once you have a few tied up, take a swimming noodle, cut a slit into it lenghtways, but not all the way through, this way you can push the swivel into the slit, wrap the line around, and hook your hooks into the noodle.
