What's your favorite walleye soft plastic bait? Mine used to be a White Power Grub, but now is a 4" black Power Worm.

There seems to be something special about the 3" Berkley Powerbait Ripple Shad. I've nicknamed it "sauger candy".Smile

Had good success with Trigger X, Minnow Aggression, in Icicle. Where I fish spottail shiners are a favorite forage and this match's up real well. I fish it on a Northland Gammi jig.

4 or 5 inch ring worms. Color is dependent on the day and conditions.

I always start with a purple and white ring worm on one rod and a chart and white 3in power minnow on the other in spring in rivers. Then if they don't go on either one of those ill switch colors. For casting I either use a all white moxi or 3 in white tube jig. I also use gulp minnows and thumper tails just depends in the day.

I have to add another for fishing weed walleyes - and it's actually panfish size baits. A pair of 1.5" tube jigs - not just a single one - two tube jigs rigged in tandem. These hopped thru shallow to mid-depth cabbage weeds is a super producer for smaller and mid-size eyes.

Its tough to beat the old twister tail! But for the last few years gulp minnows have been hot for me. 2.5 inch up to the 4 inch size.
