Saturday was the last day of the season for cottontails here in WI. It was -9º when we cut the hounds shortly before 8:00 am. Pictured is my friend Mike and my Dad (missing friend Joe) with hounds Diesel and Bonnie, the hounds ran fairly well right from the get go and we had our limit by 1:30 pm. It was Mikes first time with hounds, I think he’s hooked.

We started at 620 am and were limited at 730 am with 12 rabbits. The 3 beagles we had were still kicking rabbits like crazy after we were limited out. Makes it a heck of a lot easier with dogs then jumping on piles to get em out. A lot of fun listening 2 beagles when they are on the scent.
