They can travel a long ways if they hear your call. Best luck I have is in the afternoon. Bitter cold with snow helps them want to take advantage of an easy meal prospect. The are hard to call, very weary. I average calling one in about every 10 set ups. Dedication and persistance is what it takes to be successful hunting yotes. Good luck!
That happened to me also last week! It was 1.20 on the fox pro. Love it when that happens.
1 set and 1 minute of calling tonight!
l have questions, best time of day, how often to call, how often can you hunt a certain property. Thanks
I'll b the first4 the year, fox season is upon us for the year and yotes r going nuts by me but I'm on hold yet, lost 2 chickens last week but my bad didn't count b4 I put them in. It was a fox we have on the property so he is going first. Pretty bold critter but haven't had the rifle in my hands when I have seen it, so we all know how that goes!!! I dont deer hunt anymore Cuz the dogs have got all my attention. Hope all u guys have a good kill season!!!! Need more post from the real hunters on this site.
Coyotes always need to eat. I would start out with the distress calls but not overly loud and then the coyote vocals if no action from the distress calls.
Have not been out, but have heard plenty the last week or so. I think they are still mating up this way. (Bayfield County) Not sure about the rest of the state. Try both, and given em heck.
