Just curious anybody out rabbit hunting? Any decent spots near Rome Wisconsin? Post some pics! Nothing like chasing bunnies.

Back in the late 70's/ early 80's a couple of my friends had beagles.  We had SO much fun so many times chasing bunnies with them.  In winter we would also target swampers at times.  I really miss those days, but already having enough bird dogs, not planning on adding beagles.

Scott are you talking about the Rome in Adams County? If so there are rabbits to the east along the Big Roc-A-Cric.

ive found rabbits on just about every kinda public land around SE wi, some better than others , best areas are overgrown fence rows or rock walls adjacent to fields,  but they can be in marshy willow brush as well, hard to hunt rabbits solo imo get a buddy or two to beat the brush and take turns basically doing rabbit drives is your best option.

I doubt anyone is going to give up any hotspots on a public forum. FWIW, I've had great results in the past by contacting the DNR and asking for tips on where I might find decent grouse populations in a general area. Try Wi DNR, Hunting, Contact, Point of Contact. Click on your spot on the map and you will get the name/email of your person. Good luck!
