If you are bringing dogs, consider booking rooms at Aqua Aire. I stayed there with my dogs and they were awesome about having dogs in the room.

Looking for a great place to rent for 7-8 days of grouse and WC hunting.  I'm a new to these birds, but do quite a lot of snipe, pheasant, duck, and dove. Looking to drive up from Miami to hunt with my wife and 2 Golden's.  Thanks for any recommendations for lodges and / or housing.  I'm a DYI guy, but may take a guide early on. Thanks.

Broods looking pretty good in the areas I hunt. Lots of chicks seen over summer. Counting the days now.

TNVOL - In fact, you're comparing the driftless area of Wisconsin...the southwest corner of the state...not the Northwoods.

MN drumming report just came out.  #s are up across most the state.  I know drumming counts aren't great predictors of the fall population but it still is useful information.  The attached graph is for the NE region.

Woodcock always opens a week after grouse...been that way for as long as I can remember.

I see woodcock opens sept 24 earlier this year, just one week after grouse opens in zone A.  Good idea. I noticed migrations taking place well before last years opener.
