Spent the last week at St. Germaine . For the first time in twenty years I saw turkeys . At three different locations I saw a total of twenty . Guess the winter was not as hard as I thought .

It depends which ones find the feeders and which don't. In places where they aren't fed over winter I hardly see them anymore.

Went up to Mellon this wknd bear baiting. Just before we got there on sat on hwy 13 right before town there were 2 hens and about 10 little ones on the shoulder of the road. Then when we left sun morning there was a big gobbler n almost the same place! Don't know how the birds can survive the severe winters they get up there! Trulely remarkable!!!!!!!!!
