Evening Roost

My son and I are hunting this weekend.  I've hunted the private parcel were hitting this year many years ago but only in the mornings.  I've been told there's been activity through the day in the past weeks and hunting the afternoons and evenings should be effective.  I know where they roost and was wondering when they fly up for the night.  Do they go up at sundown?  Dusk?  Dark?

A neighboring farmer has been dumping truckloads of liquid maneur on the field right near the property line so we may be able to take advantage of the hot lunch program during the day but if not, we'll hit the evening hunt.

Thanks for the replies.  I posted my bird pics on the other thread but wanted to thank y'all and post that the evening roost hunt was the bomb!  Screw getting up at 3:45 am next year!

They have been flying up anywhere from 815pm to 840pm...Tom's generally will be last to fly up and this time could be earlier if you have a cloudy dreary day.  Good luck

Set up between the fresh manure and their roosting location.
