Just got back from Vilas.

Trails were very nice on Friday, very flat.  They were ok Saturday morning, but things went downhill quickly Saturday afternoon.

Cool hog, I went up by presque isle last weekend. Some were good and some really bad.  We went to Hurley and back.  Good up that way.

Wow CH, I was up last weekend, and thought they were awesome.

We were by Popes, SLO’s, and Presque Isle.

The trails in Vilas continue to be in great shape. We hit some really good stuff in Land O Lakes and Conover.

Just made it back from a long weekend in Vilas.  The trails from Stillwaters to Connover were beautiful.

Traffic was really heavy. Trails were in decent shape everywhere we went until Saturday afternoon, then they got pretty bumpy.

It rained all night Saturday night, when I left this morning, everything was a wet icy mess.

Looks like some snow is on the way for Monday with some cooler temps, so hopefully the groomers have something to work with.

Just got back home and thought I’d give a more detailed report.

On Friday we went to Presque Isle from Boulder. The trails were really rough around Boulder, but the closer you got to Presque Isle, the better the trails were.

On Saturday we started on Plum / Stillwater’s, stopped at the Burnt Bridge near Conover, and then onto Land O Lakes and 5 feet into Michigan. The trails were just incredible. They were so good we took the same way back home.

The trails to Popes we’re also fantastic.

With the warm temps, the trails around the destination cities were really bumpy.

Also, no lakes are marked yet, and the ones we crossed were very slushy.

Vilas trails are decent.  Some really awesome stuff, but some absolute crap too.  Definitely worth doing though, having fun!

Stay home!!  We were up last weekend and the trails were really nice.

Had a buddy who went up there yesterday and came home today.  He said the trails were rough and that there were lots of bare spots, and that was before today's high of almost 50.

What a difference a few days makes.  My buddy is in St. Germain and texted me today to stay home this weekend - the trails took a beating with the warming temps.

The only good news is they may get more snow next week.

Made it up to Vilas County the past two weekends.  Rode through Conover, Land O Lakes, St. Germain,  Boulder Junction, Sayner,  and Manitowish Waters.

The trails were absolutely outstanding, and flat as the Interstate.

The only bad areas is where logging was taking place - but  now that we know the areas where logging is taking place, it will be easy to avoid.

Time to get after it!
