Wild rice recipes

Chaw asked , this is the way my wife makes it to go with poultry or pork. It was from a friend of her father's. 

Anybody else have any? I also add plain  it to cream of pheasant or chicken soup. 

Picked up a Wild Rice Cookbook by Beth Anderson 150 recipes first printed in 1977 WTH how did I not buy this earlier? 

White rice takes 10- 20 min. to cook. Brown rice cooks for 45 min. and wild rice close to an hour. I blend long grained brown rice with wild rice but I put the wild rice in water  first and the brown in 15 min. later so both are perfect. The casserole dish posted sounds great. Both barley and wild rice are best cooked first before put in soups, etc.

I pre cook mine before adding it to soup.

I’m watching with anticipation. I love wild rice and I’m looking to expand. Looks great Pool and RC. 

We have an ancient family recipe for wild rice casserol similar to what Pool is  showing in the right side pic.  We add black olives. 

Mostly I mix it into chicken soup when I make a big kettle worth.
1/2 cup of wild rice for 2 gallons of soup.
