Has anyone ever caught a silver pike?  They lack the typical color and markings of a regular northern pike and are usually either silver or grey.  Becker's Fishes of Wisconsin categorizes them as a mutant of the northern pike.  My wife's family has a place on one of the only lakes in WI that is mentioned in that book that is known to have them (the other is connected via channel). I haven't been there in years as I usually spend time at my family's place further north but my wife and I are going to spend a long weekend there in September.  I plan on fishing for pike exclusively with the hopes of catching one.  I'll post pics here if I'm successful.

In the meantime, here's a picture of one that I pulled off of Google.
